As we come to the end of the year we can reflect that despite all the delays forced upon us by Covid we have this year made solid progress in the construction of the Ship.

The latest stage in this has been the setting up of the sternpost and the fastening of this to the stern underloute.

We have continued to work on shaping the stem and hopefully, this will be set up by the end of January.

More riven sections of timber from the keel log have been brought to the Longshed and reduced to finished planking.

I would again like to thank all of the volunteers in the shipbuilding crew for their dedication and commitment over the year -particularly during the recent colder weeks. We look forward to the New Year and beginning to see the Ship grow as we commence planking operations.
